Abstract

Between 1988 and 1989, Franco Fortini published a series of articles in the magazine «Campus» addressing the plight of young people and the institutions responsible for education and teaching. These were not new topics to his thinking, but when placed within the biographical and general context of the time, they acquire a particular significance and specific interest. This paper aims to present and analyze these texts, comparing them with previous and subsequent considerations. It thus describes a particular moment in Fortini’s reflection on these topics and adds a small piece to the discussion of Fortini as a teacher and pedagogue, a figure that has been the focus of renewed interest in recent years.
